Chartered Physiotherapist and Veterinary Physiotherapist

About me

My name is Vilhelmiina, the physiotherapist behind Birmingham Vet Physio. I am a proud owner of two dogs; a Schipperke Tiitu and a Working Cocker Spaniel called Sparrow. My family had a beautiful Schipperke dog who made me an enthusiastic dog lover and cuddler. During my younger, more agile days I was also a very keen horsewoman known for my ability to handle even the most ‘difficult’ of horses.

I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist with first class honours in 2015. This enabled me to pursue my passion for helping animals (alongside humans) as I went back to university to attain a postgraduate diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy. I am a HCPC and CSP registered Chartered human Physiotherapist and a member of the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists, NAVP. This ensures that I am fully qualified, insured and practicing in accordance with current legislation and professional code of conduct.

There is no one-size-fits-all in physiotherapy so I take every pet and owner as they are and tailor the treatment to their individual needs and goals. I’m committed to continuously furthering my knowledge and skills to ensure up to date and evidence based treatment. I provide a personalised, professional and genuinely caring physiotherapy service for dogs (or other pets) and their owners from the comfort of their own home.
